MSPC Attends Moore Stephens Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School

Harvard PhotoA program designed to align motivating professionals, leadership, strategy and organization.

MSPC Managing Partner Jim Flannery and Tax and Audit Principal Jon Gagliardi attended the Moore Stephens Executive Leadership Program hosted by Harvard Business School on Sunday, May 17, 2015 to May 21, 2015 at the Harvard Campus in Boston, MA.  The intensive eight-hour a day, four-day program was structured using case study discussions, lectures, and application workshops focused around optimizing individual and group leadership as well as strategy and organization.  In addition to the MSPC team, attendees included other leaders from independent member firms associated with Moore Stephens International.

Flannery shared that the program was valuable for corporate growth, “we do a lot of consulting for clients in business processes and our skills, specifically in leadership, can always be improved. We gained a better understanding of how we can deliver services to our clients in a way that makes sense for how business is conducted today.”

Flannery and Gagliardi participated in nine vigorous case studies including a Ogilvy and Mather case involving Charlotte Beers.  Some of the lectures included Firm Strategy by David Fubini and Producer Manager as Leader by Ashish Nanda.   This format provided an opportunity to assess real-world business scenarios and apply the learnings to improving the firm.
“As a result of the program, we plan to engage clients and staff on what is important to their businesses and how MSPC can assist in achieving those goals.  We plan on growing our firm and providing new services.  We need to be more than a financial statement or tax return, we need to participate in our client’s success and provide innovative ideas,” says Flannery and Gagliardi.
